As you know, I'm in the middle of the moving process. I tell you something...that's pretty exhausting...especially in this heat! I cannot believe how much stuff I gathered in just 2 years!
Even though I'm in the middle of the moving process, I must eat something. And also the leftovers from the refrigerator must be somehow used. And for this today's recipe (more or less my own creation) is just perfect: pasta al forno. It is cooked very fast and it is very delicious.
You need:
150
g Fusilli pasta
1
red onion
200
g mushrooms
4-6
slices bacon
Parmesan
basil
salt
pepper
This is how it is done:
Peel the onion and cut into cubes. Wash, clean and cut the mushrooms into slices. Cut ham into strips and finely grate the Parmesan.
Cook pasta according to package instructions in salt water.
Heat in a pan some oil and steam the onion. Add the mushrooms, season with salt and pepper and cook for about 5 minutes.
Drain the pasta. Spread ½ of the pasta in a baking dish, and then spread the onion-mushroom mixture, the bacon and Parmesan cheese. Continue with a new layer of pasta and spread much Parmesan cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven at 170°C degrees for 15-20 minutes.
Garnish with fresh basil and serve.
