The ones who have been following my blog for a longer time have certainly noticed that there are no recipes with strawberries. This is because I am allergic to them. I cannot eat more than 2-3 strawberries without risking a skin rash. For this reason, I avoid eating strawberries. I made an exception for the strawberries buns with cream cheese frosting. I bought strawberries (but do not ask why) and I did not want to throw them away. So I decided to bake these strawberry buns for my work colleagues. I also tasted one...as I said...I can eat 2-3 without having any problems. Do you suffer from allergies?
You need:
250
g of strawberries, finely diced
2-3
tbsp of sugar
125g
fresh cream cheese
50
ml milk
100
g white chocolate
This is how we proceed:
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a rectangle. Sprinkle strawberries and sugar over the dough. Starting at the long side role up dough and pinch edge together to seal. Cut into 2-3 cm thick slices.
- Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and let rise under a towel for 60 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 220°C.
- Bake rolls for 5-6. Remove from oven and allow cooling.
- Meanwhile melt the white chocolate over a water bath. Remove from heat and stir in cream cheese. Add milk and mix. If the frosting is too liquid, add some more cheese. If it is too firm, add some milk. Pour the frosting over the strawberries.
