A
few weeks ago I bought a 3-in-1 sandwich maker. My sandwich maker broke, so I
was looking for a new one. And then I have found a cheap 3-in-1 device. In
addition to the sandwich plate, it also has a grill and a waffles plate. I had
to test everything, so I decided to prepare an antipasti plate. Everything
worked very well so that I can show you today the result. An Italian antipasti
plate is something very tasty and even if you don’t own a grill, you can
prepare it. I will not make state any quantities, only a list of the
ingredients and the preparation method.
You need:
- pepper(s)
- onion(s)
- courgette(s)
- eggplant(s)
- olive oil
- salt
- pepper
- fresh herbs (basil, thyme, oregano), finely chopped
This is how we
proceed:
- Wash, deseed and quarter the pepper(s). Peel and quarter the onion(s). Clean the courgette(s) and the eggplant(s) and cut into thin slices.
- Brush the grill plates/ grill/ pan with oil and heat. Fry the vegetables. The skin of the paprika will become black with bubbles. Let it cool down and skin. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper and arrange on a plate.
- Mix a vinaigrette made of olive oil, salt, pepper and fresh herbs and pour over the vegetables. I have added to my antipasti plate some olives and Parmesan cheese.
The
antipasti plate is perfect for a light dinner, on warm summer evenings. Do you
agree?
