At the Naschmarkt mainly fruit, vegetables, baked goods, fish and meat are traded but also international goods.
Since several years, the market offers a wide selection of dining establishments open till midnight. Therefore, the Naschmarkt has become a meeting place for young and old. As the bars are open until midnight you can see many people also during the night (especially during the summer months)
The Naschmarkt is one of the points of interest of Vienna, and it is worth a visit. I must warn you, however: it is very crowdie so you have to bring a lot of patience. You have to take also into account that the vendors are very insisting. But you will be rewarded with a large selection of fresh fruit, spices, dried fruit and much more.
I leave you with some pictures so you can you form your own opinion.
Every Saturday from 6:00 to 18:00 Vienna's largest flea market is held on the parking near the Naschmarkt, at the metro station Kettenbrückengasse.
