Hi!
How did you spend Christmas? I hope you all had a cozy time together with your
loved ones. I’ve spent Christmas together with two girlfriends. We met in the
evening, ate, chatted and watched a movie. So we spent a cozy evening. Each of
us had cooked/ baked something so neither of us had to spend the whole day in
the kitchen. I decided to bake a delicious lemon yogurt cake, which I made a
bit festive.

Carrot-ginger soup
Thursday, December 19, 2013
I was not sure which recipe to blog today. And this is because I have so many great recipes that I want to share with you so the choice was not easy. Today I opted for a carrot-ginger soup. Why this recipe? I thought that you might want to have a break from all the Christmas cookies. And if you don’t have enough of the Christmas treats, then do not worry: I still have some recipes for you .
Christmas sangria
Sunday, December 15, 2013
Today it’s my turn the culinary Advent Calendar created by the blogger group "We love food". Actually, the idea was that each participant will post a cookie recipe. But I have changed my mind and today I present to you this sangria recipe as it fits very well for Christmas.
Cinnamon balls
Wednesday, December 11, 2013
At the beginning of the month I promised you that I will show you some Christmas ideas. Today, recipe number 2 goes online. Today I show you cinnamon balls. Well...they are not actually balls, because they change their shape during baking. Nevertheless, the cinnamon balls taste very good, regardless if they are round or not.
Polenta with cheese and sour cream
Saturday, December 7, 2013
On the 1st of December it was not only the 1st Advent but also the Romanian national holiday. Since I come from Romania, this day had to be celebrated. Something that reminds us of home had to be cooked. It had to be a dish that is very easy and quick to cook and that tastes delicious. I did not want to leave alone my guest for long and I wanted to prepare the dish fresh and not a few hours earlier. And I did not want to spend all day in the kitchen. So the choice felt on polenta with cheese and sour cream.
Secret Santa
Wednesday, December 4, 2013
Sandra from from Snuggs Kitchen has created a Secret Santa event for food-blogger and I signed up for it. The idea was to prepare 4 gifts, one for each Advent Sunday. It is not so easy to find the right gift for a person who you do not know and of which you know only 2-3 things. I think it is generally difficult to find the right gift for someone.
