My dear readers, today I present to you a recipe from my childhood. When I was a kid, my mother made these delicious truffles on special occasions (e.g. birthdays, Christmas). I could not get enough of them. We were not allowed to eat too many because they contain alcohol soaked sour cherries. I remember that I always ate these cherries...because they tasted so good. This year I went home and brought with me this recipe...and of course the cherries (they are used to make homemade cherry liqueur). I made than the truffles and today I share the recipe with you.
French toast with berries
Saturday, April 25, 2015
... and there are recipes that do not wait for years to be published. This is the case of today’s recipe. I prepared this French toast last weekend, wrote the blog post on Sunday and today the recipe is already online. Yes, sometimes it goes very quickly.
Eggplant-mozzarella-tower
Tuesday, April 21, 2015
My dears. Today I share with you a recipe which I cooked the first time 3 years ago. I wanted to post the recipe then, but the photos were so bad that I did not want to publish them. The 2nd time I've cooked this dish, I forgot to take pictures...yes...that can happen...if you are very hungry :). Now I prepared the dish again and the photos are not bad either. So today I present to you the eggplant-mozzarella tower.
Apple strudel
Thursday, April 16, 2015
I
promised you that I will share with you some typical Austrian dishes. Today I
share with you the recipe for a very famous Austrian dessert: the one and only
apple strudel. I have often eaten this dessert, but I never baked it. Until
now. Well, I have to admit I simplified my job a little, because I haven't made
the dough. There is far too much work, and I am not even sure I can really make
this dough. It often happens that I prepare dough and I cannot use it. So I
bought strudel dough. It’s allowed :)
Drob de miel
Sunday, April 12, 2015
I
have thought very long about whether I should show you this dish or not. And
this for 2 reasons: first, I am not happy with the quality of the photos. I
cooked this dish last year and the photos were taken at that time. At that time
I was not somehow satisfied with them, now I am not. And the second reason,
which is actually more important: this dish is certainly not for everyone, as
the main ingredient is lamb offal. So why did I decide to share the recipe? It
is pretty simple: this is a recipe that is served at the Romanian Easter. And
believe it or not, the dish tastes really good.
Transylvanian lamb soup
Wednesday, April 8, 2015
As you know, I'm originally from Romania. And because I like the Romanian cuisine, I want to share it also with you. For this reason I will share with you from time to time Romanian dishes. Today I will show you a typical Transylvanian lamb soup, which we always eat for Easter. And since the Orthodox Easter is celebrated this year a week later than the Catholic one, the timing is perfect.
Eggnog cream
Saturday, April 4, 2015
Good morning! In the last article I told you why I was not able to post more Easter recipes this year. And this even though I've prepared the recipes in time. I'm curious if I will post more next year or if something intervenes again. I have another Easter recipe for you guys and this is eggnog cream served in eggshells. This is a really simple recipe but I am sure that your guests will be very enthusiastic when you will serve to them this dessert.
