Baked Camembert with figs and honey

Baked Camembert with figs and honey

I have told you in the previous post that I just had buy the figs when I saw them. What I didn’t tell you is that I have once again bought too many. So I had 2 unused figs. I had to use them before they go bad. But I had no idea what to cook/ bake with them. When I browsed on Pinterest, I found a picture of the baked Camembert with figs and honey. And so I knew what I'm going to bake next.

You need:

250g or 2 x 125 g Camembert
1-2 figs
1 handful walnuts
1-2 tbsp honey
rosemary

This is how we proceed:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C degrees.
  2. Take out Camembert from its package and place on a with baking paper lined baking tray. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  3. Wash fig(s), dry and divide into four or eight.
  4. Remove Camembert from the oven and place on plate(s). Be careful, because it is very hot. Distribute figs, walnuts and rosemary on the Camembert and drizzle with honey. Serve immediately.

It tasted very good and I think it looks very pretty. So it is ideal as an appetizer to impress your guests. But what do you think?
