Beef stew with carrots

Beef stew with carrots

Today all my meat-loving readers will be happy, because I finally posted again a dish containing meat. As you already know my meat consumption is very low. Especially in the summer. Unfortunately, the summer is (currently) over, so now we can cook something else then salads. I have cooked the last weekend this beef stew with carrots and now I share the recipe with you.

For 4 servings you need:

800 g beef meat
vegetable oil
2-3 onions
2 tbsp tomato paste
600 ml water
5 tbsp soy sauce
1 bay leaf
6 carrots
½ tsp ground cumin
salt
pepper

Ingredients beef stew

This is how we proceed:

Cut the beef meet into bite-size cubes. In a large pot, heat vegetable oil and fry the meat. Peel onions and cut into large cubes. Add to the meat and fry. Add 2 tablespoons tomato puree then stir once.

Add water, soy sauce and bay leaf. Cover the pot and simmer for 45 minutes at low to medium heat. Stir occasionally.

After the 45 minutes, remove the lid and simmer for another 20 minutes. The sauce will thicken. Peel carrots and cut into strips. Add to the stew and cook for 10 minutes.

Season with cumin, salt and pepper. Place on plates and serve.
