If
you only knew how hard it was for me to get a rectangular tart form. I've been
looking for it for more than 1 year...yes...you read right…more than a year. I
have been looking for the form in all kind of shops...in the super expensive
ones but also in the normal shops where you can find baking/ cooking supplies.
But this form was not to be found. Many looked at me weird, "a rectangular
tart form...never heard of it." Or, "Yes, we have it!" And I was
thinking: "Yes!". And then the disappointment...it was only a normal
loaf form. I tried in online shops…but nothing...respectively I found some but
at prices that I did not want to pay. So I've already given up the idea of owning
such a form.
But then I've seen the form on other blogs...and so the search
begun from the beginning. Finally, I found it. Unfortunately, the shipping costs
for Austria
were very high…higher than the price of the tart form. So what could I do?
Well...what are friends for? I ordered the form in Germany and then it was brought to
me. But that was easier said than done....because there were some problems with
the delivery (but I will not bore you with the details). After countless
e-mails and 1 month later, I finally received my tart form. And I had to try it
out immediately. The first thing I baked was a mushroom tart. If you also want
to cook the tart then you just need to read on.
You need:
1
roll of puff pastry
250
g mushrooms
1
red onion
100
g salami
2
garlic cloves
100
g cream cheese
100
g blue cheese
And this is how you
proceed:
Preheat
oven to 180°C degrees. Grease tin with butter.
Roll
out puff pastry, place in the tin, press down and remove the overhanging edges.
Cover with baking paper, spread rice or beans and bake for 10 minutes. Remove
from the oven.
Meanwhile, clean the mushrooms and cut them into slices. Peel and chop the onion. Dice the salami. Sauté onion in a little oil, then add the salami and finally add the mushrooms (put some to one side) and cook for 10 minutes. Add cream cheese, peel the garlic and squeeze it in. Mix all well.
Spread the filling on the tart, crumble the blue cheese and spread over the filling. Garnish with the mushrooms you set aside and bake for another 25 minutes.
Allow to cool slightly and then enjoy the tart!
I am very happy that I finally own this form.
