Chicken with pineapple

A few weeks ago I shown you here an Indian recipe. Now it is time to show you a Chinese one.



You need:

300 g chicken brest
400 g pineapple (canned or fresh)
2 garlic cloves
1 tbsp ground ginger
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 carrot
Oil

How we proceed:

Wash the chicken breast, dry it and cut it into bite-size pieces. Add the cornstarch and soy sauce and mix well.


Heat oil in a pan. Fry the chicken over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes. Put aside.

Meanwhile, peel the carrot and cut lengthwise into thin strips. Finely chop the garlic.


Cut the fresh pineapple into half and cut out the pulp.

 
Pour into the pan a little oil and fry the carrot and garlic for about 3-5 minutes. Add the ground ginger.


Add the pineapple together with the juice (if you used a fresh pineapple, then take 100 ml of water) and soy sauce. Simmer until the juice evaporates almost completely.

In the end, add the chicken and cook for another minute.


Arrange and serve.
