I must confess something to you: the previous weekend I sinned and did no longer eat light. Well...if you have guests for dinner, you cannot serve them salad. So we had roasted chicken, red cabbage and this delicious yogurt cake for dessert. The roasted chicken is cooked after a recipe from Jamie Oliver and tastes very, very good. The meat is very tender, just perfect. And now I’ll tell you the recipe.
You need:
1 chicken
500 ml milk
10 garlic cloves
10 fresh sage leaves
3 tbsp olive oil
zest from one lemon
salt
pepper
paprika
How we proceed:
Preheat oven to 190°C
degrees.
Wash chicken, if necessary, remove giblets and pat dry. Generously season with salt, pepper and paprika on all sides.
In a pan heat 3 tbsp olive oil and stir-fry the chicken on all sides. The whole should not take more than 10 minutes, we just want to give the chicken a little color.

Peel the garlic. Wash and dry the sage leaves. If you do not have fresh sage, you can use 1 tbsp dry one.
Place the chicken in a heat-resistant pan and add garlic, sage and lemon zest. Pour milk into the pan.
Cover the pan. If you don’t have a fitting lid, cover the pan with aluminum foil. Leave the chicken in the oven for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, take the chicken out, flip over, cover and let it in the oven for another 50 minutes . After the 50 minutes, remove the lid / foil and roast for another 10 minutes. Flip chicken again and roast for another 10 minutes. We do this so that the chicken gets a nice color.
Take it out of the oven and serve. Bon appetit!
