My
dears, the summer has finally arrived and so now we can spend the one or the
other evening with good friends and a good cocktail on the balcony or in the
garden. For this reason, I will show you in the next weeks a few summer drinks.
The beginning makes a rhubarb gin cocktail. But you must hurry ... the rhubarb
season is almost over.
Spinach-asparagus salad with quail eggs
Sunday, May 25, 2014
The asparagus season is not over yet, so I still have time to share with you this recipe. I received from a co-worker very fresh asparagus and thought that I can prepare a delicious salad out of it. And this is the result.
Rhubarb-lemon-thyme tart
Thursday, May 22, 2014
Actually,
for today I had planned another recipe. But Tuesday I carved for something
sweet, and then I remembered that I’ve seen a rhubarb-lemon-thyme tart recipe
in a magazine. So I bought the needed ingredients and baked this tart. And
since the rhubarb season is not over yet, I've decided to share this recipe
with you. I have slightly adapted the recipe, and the result was a very
delicious tart that was eaten within one day.
Asparagus cream soup
Monday, May 19, 2014
If I had waited longer until I had put the recipe for asparagus cream soup online, than the asparagus season would be over. I need to plan better my posts. I've cooked the soup 3-4 weeks ago, but somehow I posted every time another recipe. But the asparagus season is not over yet, so you can cook the soup if you want.
Maki and sushi - home made
Friday, May 16, 2014
You already know that I like rice...whether it is rice pudding of different kinds or risotto. So I did not think very long when Reishunger - a young Bremen company - has written to ask me if I want to test their products. A few days after I said yes I received the package. I also got the Introductory Box consisting of natural, jasmine, basmati, bio risotto tomato rice and bio minestrone. On my request, I also received a package of sushi rice.
Rhubarb Tiramisù
Saturday, May 10, 2014
Regarding
the classic Tiramisu there are quite different opinions: some people like it
and some don’t. And some people don’t like it only because the cream is
prepared with raw eggs. And many believe that this is not healthy. I have no
problem with raw eggs...I very often have prepared Tiramisu at home but also
ordered it in restaurants. But why am I telling you all this now? It's
simple...because I have prepared a Tiramisu recipe that doesn’t contain eggs.
Many might say that this is not a tiramisu. Yes, they may be right...but I will
anyway call this recipe rhubarb tiramisu 😁
Risotto with mushrooms
Wednesday, May 7, 2014
I
finally dared to cook risotto. For some reason I though that the preparation of
risotto is quite time consuming and complicated. But I always have seen such
great risotto recipes and so I decided to try it once. What would I have to
lose? Nothing. And so I tried this recipe. The result? Cooking risotto is
really not that hard. Yes, you have to stay a little longer next to the stove,
but it is rewarding.
Quinoa chocolate cake
Sunday, May 4, 2014
Here I've told you that I’ve decided to try the quinoa salad recipe, after I saw a photo on the Internet. So I bought quinoa, cooked the salad and I liked it. As I havn't used the whole quinoa, I searched for other recipes and came across a quinoa chocolate cake recipe. The curiosity was big as I couldn’t imagine how this cake would taste, and after I've made a few changes to the original recipe, I baked the cake.
Pan-baked chicken
Thursday, May 1, 2014
Have I ever told you that I totally like Jamie Oliver? Well, not him (I do not know him personally) but his recipes. They're always easy, fast to cook and always taste good. Why do I tell you this? Well, because today's recipe comes from him.
