Onion quiche


Hi folks! Today we have an onion quiche at Cooking with Diana. I found the recipe in the cooking book "Faszination Alpenküche", I liked it and decided to try it out. I did not cook it 1 to 1, but changed it a little. But only a little 😁. I was more than satisfied with the result, so this recipe has made ​​it on my blog.

You need:

300 g flour
~ 400 g onions
50 ml of lukewarm milk
150 g beacon, diced
21 g fresh yeast (½ cube)
salt
1 pinch of sugar
pepper
½ tsp salt
250 ml sour cream

100 g cheese

2 eggs

How do we proceed:


For the dough put the flour in a bowl and mix with salt. Dissolve fresh yeast in 150 ml of warm milk. Stir in the sugar. Add the yeast to the flour. Knead all ingredients to smooth dough.

Onion quiche dough


Cover the dough and leave it for about 45 minutes in a warm place until it has risen visibly.

For the filling, cook the diced bacon in a large saucepan for 5 minutes. Peel onion and cut into rings. Add them to the bacon and fry until soft. Whisk 1 egg with 125 ml cream. Season with salt and pepper and give the bacon-onion-mass.

Roll out the dough and cover a greased spring form. Form an edge.



Spread bacon-onion mixture on the dough.



Mix the 2nd egg with 125 ml cream. Season with salt pepper. Pour over the onions and sprinkle with cheese.

Onion quiche before baking


Bake at 200°C degrees for 30 minutes.

Allow to cool, arrange on plates and serve. Enjoy!
