Hi folks! Today we have an onion quiche at Cooking with Diana. I found the recipe in the cooking book "Faszination Alpenküche", I liked it and decided to try it out. I did not cook it 1 to 1, but changed it a little. But only a little 😁. I was more than satisfied with the result, so this recipe has made it on my blog.
You need:
For the dough:
For the topping:
300
g flour
~
400 g onions
50
ml of lukewarm milk
150
g beacon, diced
21
g fresh yeast (½ cube)
salt
1
pinch of sugar
pepper
½
tsp salt
250
ml sour cream
100
g cheese
2
eggs
How do we proceed:
For the dough put the flour in a bowl and mix with salt. Dissolve fresh yeast in 150 ml of warm milk. Stir in the sugar. Add the yeast to the flour. Knead all ingredients to smooth dough.
For the filling, cook the diced bacon in a large saucepan for 5 minutes. Peel onion and cut into rings. Add them to the bacon and fry until soft. Whisk 1 egg with 125 ml cream. Season with salt and pepper and give the bacon-onion-mass.
Mix the 2nd egg with 125 ml cream. Season with salt pepper. Pour over the onions and sprinkle with cheese.
