Sunken apple cake



Hello! Today I show you a recipe for a delicious sunken apple cake. I found this recipe on a German blog. I like apple pie, the cake looked delicious, the recipe seemed easy so I decided to bake this cake. And since the cake is tasty, here is the recipe.

I did not use sugar syrup. And next time I'll dace an apple and fold it into the dough. I think it will taste even better.


What do we need:


125 g butter, soften
150 g sugar
2 big eggs (separated)
250 g flour
½ packages backing powder
100 ml milk
50 ml cream
600 g apples

How do we proceed:


Preheat oven at 180°C degrees.

Whip the butter with the sugar and the egg yolks until foamy. Mix flour with backing powder and stir in. Add cream and milk.




Beat egg whites until stiff and carefully fold into the cake batter.



Spread the dough evenly on the bottom of a pan covered with baking paper.

Peel apples, core and cut them into slices.

Spread on the dough (do not push the apple pieces in the dough).



Bake for 45 minutes. Let the cake to cool and serve.
