Sun, beach and sea ... what can be nicer? I love the summer and I could spend all day lying on the beach. Unfortunately, the everyday life looks a little different. Sun: yes - beach and sea: no ... they are replaced by the office.
Good that there are holidays. This year I was in Portugal. And there i enjoyed almost every day the sun, the beach and the sea. And sangria and fresh fish. But since I'm not a big fish fan, I had to switch to seafood. I love seafood ... whether we talk about calamari, octopus, shrimp or clams.
But why am I telling you all this? Even if I can not enjoy the beach every day, I can at least enjoy the holiday feeling at home. How does it work? By cooking what I have eaten in my holiday: clams with garlic and olive oil.
You need:
1
kg clams
3
garlic cloves
300
ml dry white wine
1
bunch of parsley
olive
oil
salt
How do we proceed:
Before cooking give the clams for an hour in a vessel with salt water. You do this to be sure that they are really clean. Drain and sort out the broken clams.
Chop garlic and parsley.
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the garlic briefly over low heat. I also have added 3 whole garlic cloves.
Add the clams. Each clam should come into contact with the oil (you can do this by swinging the pan).
Add the wine and parsley and sauté briefly. Salt. Cover the pan and simmer for about 5-7 minutes until the clams have opened.
The clams that have not opened are not suitable for eating. Just sort them out.
Place on soup plates with the brew. Garnish with parsley and enjoy!
