Last
Friday I was not working, because together with a few colleagues I cooked in the Gruft. My employer organizes every year the
Volunteer Day and some of us have the opportunity to participate in various
social projects. I sign up every time, and until now I participated every year.
This year again in the Gruft...this means to cook lunch for 180 people. This year
we cooked Turkey
strips in cream and mushroom sauce. Saturday I then cooked the recipe for me,
and now I share it here with you.
For 2 servings you
need:
400
g turkey breast, cut into strips
250
g mushrooms
250
ml cream
1
onion
1
tbsp butter
oil
salt
pepper
dried
thyme
This is how you
proceed:
Cut
turkey breast into strips. Season with salt and pepper and dust with flour.
Heat some oil in a pan and fry the meat. Set aside and keep warm.
Peel
and chop the onion. Wash, clean and cut mushrooms into slices. Place the butter
in the frying pan and fry onions. Add mushrooms and fry briefly. Pour in cream,
bring to a boil and reduce slightly. Add the meat. Season with salt, pepper and
thyme.
Arrange
on plates and serve.
