Tabbouleh is a dish from the Lebanese cuisine. The main ingredients are bulgur or couscous, parsley, tomatoes and mint. You can serve it as an appetizer, but also as a side dish at a grill party. Or you serve it as a main course...for example at a picnic. The last time I was swimming, I made this salad and took it with me. Today I preset also to you the recipe.
For 2 servings you
need:
150
g bulgur
350
ml water
½
bunch parsley
½
bunch mint
1
garlic clove
juice
from ½ lemon
30
ml olive oil
1-2
tomatoes
2-3
spring onions
1
small cucumber
½
½ bell pepper (red)
sea
salt
pepper
This is how you proceed:
Give bulgur in a sieve, rinse with cold water and then place in a saucepan. Add water and cook for 10 minutes (or according to package instructions) over low heat.
Meanwhile, wash parsley and mint, shake dry and chop very finely. Peel garlic and chop finely. Mix lemon juice, oil and garlic.
Remove bulgur from heat and drain the liquid. Mix well bulgur, lemon-oil mixture and chopped herbs and put it aside for 1 hour.
Wash the tomatoes, onion, cucumber and bell pepper and dice finely. Mix before serving under the bulgur.
