Because today I share with you a recipe for ostrich filet. Yes, you read that right...ostrich filet. While I was in South Africa I ate for the first time ostrich meat. There it is not a specialty you get it everywhere...even at street festivals. And although I'm not the big meat eater, it must admit that the meat is very tasty. From the street festival I took with me a small recipe booklet. And then when I saw ostrich meat in a supermarket, I just had to buy it. Finally I had the possibility to try one of these recipes. And I've decided for the roasted ostrich filet with blue cheese topping. If you have the chance to buy this meat, do it.

Although I love cupcakes, I didn’t bake them lately. And this although baking them don’t require much time. But there is always something else that I want to bake and then I say to myself...but you've already made cupcakes and you know how they taste, but this dessert or that cake you don’t know…so bake this instead. I am no longer trying to change this…I don’t plan to bake cupcakes anymore…if it happens, it happens. Some weeks ago I had the choice again: cupcakes or cake. But then I decided for the cupcakes and so the Oreo cupcakes were baked.

Thursday I had a day off to take care of some personal belongings, so I had time to cook something in the afternoon. During the week I almost never cook. I cook only on weekends...and this not always. I wanted to cook something delicious, but at always it should be quick. So I decided for Mac and Cheese. Mac and Cheese is a pasta dish which is popular especially in North America and the UK. For Mac and Cheese noodles are mixed with a cheese sauce and usually baked with grated cheese in the oven. Sounds simple? It is. Here is the recipe.

Soon is Valentine’s Day. And once again I prepared a last minute post for this occasion. As you know, I'm not a fan of this day, but as every year, I give you tips and gift ideas for surprising your loved one. Last year I showed you an idea for a hearted breakfast, 2 years ago I showed you a recipe for homemade chocolates and 3 years ago I prepared red velvet cupcakes. This year I thought that I show you an idea for a menu with which you can surprise your partner. The whole menu contains ingredients, which are said to have an aphrodisiac effect.

Approximately
2 years ago I have read the recipe for beer soup and wrote it down. And for 2
years I postponed the cooking of this recipe. Do not ask me why...maybe I was
not so convinced by the recipe. Nevertheless, the curiosity was bigger and so I
cooked the beer soup this weekend. It tastes good, but it is not my favorite
soup. But I will cook it in the future from time to time
