Hi!
How did you spend Christmas? I hope you all had a cozy time together with your
loved ones. I’ve spent Christmas together with two girlfriends. We met in the
evening, ate, chatted and watched a movie. So we spent a cozy evening. Each of
us had cooked/ baked something so neither of us had to spend the whole day in
the kitchen. I decided to bake a delicious lemon yogurt cake, which I made a
bit festive.

Carrot-ginger soup
Thursday, December 19, 2013
I was not sure which recipe to blog today. And this is because I have so many great recipes that I want to share with you so the choice was not easy. Today I opted for a carrot-ginger soup. Why this recipe? I thought that you might want to have a break from all the Christmas cookies. And if you don’t have enough of the Christmas treats, then do not worry: I still have some recipes for you .
Christmas sangria
Sunday, December 15, 2013
Today it’s my turn the culinary Advent Calendar created by the blogger group "We love food". Actually, the idea was that each participant will post a cookie recipe. But I have changed my mind and today I present to you this sangria recipe as it fits very well for Christmas.
Cinnamon balls

At the beginning of the month I promised you that I will show you some Christmas ideas. Today, recipe number 2 goes online. Today I show you cinnamon balls. Well...they are not actually balls, because they change their shape during baking. Nevertheless, the cinnamon balls taste very good, regardless if they are round or not.
Polenta with cheese and sour cream
Saturday, December 7, 2013
On the 1st of December it was not only the 1st Advent but also the Romanian national holiday. Since I come from Romania, this day had to be celebrated. Something that reminds us of home had to be cooked. It had to be a dish that is very easy and quick to cook and that tastes delicious. I did not want to leave alone my guest for long and I wanted to prepare the dish fresh and not a few hours earlier. And I did not want to spend all day in the kitchen. So the choice felt on polenta with cheese and sour cream.
Secret Santa
Wednesday, December 4, 2013
Sandra from from Snuggs Kitchen has created a Secret Santa event for food-blogger and I signed up for it. The idea was to prepare 4 gifts, one for each Advent Sunday. It is not so easy to find the right gift for a person who you do not know and of which you know only 2-3 things. I think it is generally difficult to find the right gift for someone.
Quinoa salad with cranberries and oranges
Sunday, November 24, 2013
Have you ever heard of quinoa? I must confess that I did not know what it was until last week. But what is quinoa? Quinoa is a so-called pseudo cereal because it forms starchy grains. The seeds of quinoa can be processed, so that they can be eaten for example as a side dish. It contains no gluten and is suitable for celiac patients as an alternative to conventional grains. But why am I telling you all this? Because I 'm going to show you a very tasty quinoa recipe. To be more precisely on today’s menu we have quinoa salad with cranberries and oranges.
Cinnamon rolls
Thursday, November 21, 2013
2 weeks ago a dear school friend, her husband and their two children have visited me. So there was finally a reason to cook every day. We had lasagna and chicken from the oven (recipe follows). For dessert I made coconut rice pudding with mango. But that was not enough for me. I also wanted a winter dessert. But for cookies it was then a little too early. So I’ve decided to make cinnamon rolls.
Vanilla extract
Thursday, November 14, 2013

Wanted: new foto camera
Monday, November 11, 2013
Hello everyone. Today I have no recipe for you, but a request as I need your help. I think to buy a new photo camera. But I do not know anything about photo cameras so I don’t know at what I should pay attention. And now you come in: I want to hear your opinions: what should I look for? What cameras do you use? And you are satisfied with your camera?
Oreo chocolate bundt cake
Thursday, November 7, 2013

published. And before it waits another year, it is time to share it with you. I

was so nice and had posted the recipe for those who do not have a Thermomix.

I
do not know how it was in the rest of the country / world, but the last 2 weeks
we had in Vienna
beautiful autumn weather with temperatures up to 20 degrees. Not every day, but
last weekend it was like that. And before the temperatures go down, I granted
myself a summery cocktail.

Mole cake
Wednesday, October 2, 2013
A Kitchen Aid. Who doesn't want one? I would love to own one, but I must confess I would never spend so much money for it. Why I am talking about the Kitchen Aid? No, I did not get one as a gift. But there is the chance to winning one. How? Easy. On sixx.at there is a baking contest where everyone can participate. I also took this opportunity and go into the battle with my mole cake. The chances are very small that I win, but it does not hurt to try. And if I get one or the other vote from you, maybe my dream of owning a Kitchen Aid will come true.

Mini-onion-tarts

Bavarian obatzter
Sunday, September 22, 2013
The Oktoberfest in Munich respectively the Wiesn in Vienna started again. And with what do we associate this event? No, I'm not thinking of the posh girls in Dirndl and posh guys in leather pants. And I do not think at the beer and pretzels. I'm thinking of Obatzter.

Lassi is a popular Indian yogurt drink that is often served with spicy food. This is because it softens the sharpness of the food by its fat content and increased the digestibility.
I attended a cooking cours
Tuesday, September 10, 2013
3 months ago a couple of food bloggers received an invitation to attend one of the cooking courses offered by ichkoche.at. It was pretty hard for me to opt just for one course. I was not sure what to choose: "Summer Desserts" or "Easy Cooking in summer". But then I decided to go for “Easy Cooking in summer".
Pancakes with romanian ricotta and dill
Friday, September 6, 2013
Hello everyone. Today I want to share with you a recipe from my country. Pancakes filled with whey cheese, sugar and dill. The cheese is called "urdă" and is made from whey of sheep, goat or cow. The resulting cheese is rich in calcium, vitamins A, B2, B12, protein and contains no salt. It is fine-grained and silky and resembles the Italian ricotta. So you can use ricotta filling.

Lamb stew with grapes
Monday, August 5, 2013
Some time ago, my mother came visiting me, and she brought me a piece of lamb...even though I told her not to bring me anything…what can I say…mothers! I'm not a big meat eater...and lamb has an intense flavor...but I did not want to throw away the meat. So I decided to cook a lamb stew from it. And I must say that it really tasted good.
Filled croissants
Thursday, August 1, 2013
Hello my dear readers. Today I have a croissant recipe for you. If you like croissants, then I have the right recipe for you. When it comes to pastries and bread, I'm a little skeptical. When baking cakes, I have no problems, but when it comes to dough, yeast dough or short pastry, then I always have a bad feeling. But with this dough you can not do anything wrong. I got the recipe from this Romanian blog.

I like her blog very much.
Walnut pesto
Monday, July 1, 2013
Finally! I finally managed to make pesto. No, it's not hard to make it ... it is very easy. Why did I not manage to make pesto earlier? Every time I wanted to make pesto, I realized that I did not have all the ingredients. One time I did not have Parmesan, the other time I did not had enough basil times. But this time I had everything...or almost everything, so I can show you the result.

Peach shake
Thursday, June 27, 2013
From the moment I became owner of the AEG Ultramix
Pro, I've tried quite a few shakes and smoothies. Although I own a stand
blender, I did not use it so often. That's not because it is not good, but
because it is quite complicated to put into use. Since my kitchen is really
tiny, I have to keep the blender in the cupboard. My blender is actually a food
processor with a blender attachment, you can imagine what that means. Now I
don’t have this problem anymore and, I have decided to make smoothie and shakes
more often since I already have the recipe books.

This dish tastes very well, and I will now often cook it, especially since it is done very fast – you do not need more than 15 minutes.
Rustic peach pie

And then I remembered this recipe. Monday after work I went home and I started
to bake. And this is the result.
