Good morning! I hope your Christmas holidays were great! Tomorrow is New Year's Eve! Can you believe it? I don’t! Another year has passed and we have celebrated smaller or larger successes. Or not. I have a last recipe for you this year. These is the recipe for the mushrooms tartelettes...a quick, simple but very delicious recipe...just as you are used.
3D - Christmas cookie tree
Friday, December 23, 2016
If you are looking for a last-minute Christmas recipe, then you are here just right. Many of us start early baking Christmas cookies. But just as many have no time and no desire to bake from the 1st of December (or even earlier). We always say we have enough time. But then we realized that in 2-3 days it’s Christmas and we haven’t baked anything. But do not panic, I have the solution for you. These Christmas trees are delicious and look also wonderful. And they are also fast to make.
Apple-cinnamon granola
Wednesday, December 21, 2016
Are you still looking for the right Christmas present? Then I have an idea for a gift from the kitchen. Whenever I don’t know what present to make to someone then I always give something homemade. Can you remember the apple sauce recipe? Back then I told you that I cooked it because I wanted to make a winterly granola. And exactly this apple-cinnamon granola can be a wonderful gift.
Mulled wine
Saturday, December 17, 2016
I must confess, this winter I drank only once mulled wine. Just once…and I like mulled wine…especially on cold winter evenings. But luckily you can cook mulled wine at home...and mostly it tastes better than the bought one. That's what I did. If you also like mulled wine here is the recipe for you.
Panettone
Tuesday, December 13, 2016
I admit…I was really afraid to bake panettone. Especially when I read on Zorra’s blog that she needed a lot of tries, until she finally managed to bake a panettone. And she is an experienced baker. But her recipe is too complex for me and I do not have the patience to try it out. So I was determined to give up the project "panettone". But then I discovered on Kevin’s blog a simpler recipe...and decided to try it out. Well, Kevin is also a bake expert, but no risk, no fun :)
Pancakes baking mix
Friday, December 9, 2016
Everyone knows this...you just have no idea what gift to make to a certain person. One thinks and thinks, but you still have no clue. If the person is a foodie, I have the salvation for you...you can give him/ her a homemade pancake baking mix. I think it is a great solution, and everyone likes homemade presents. Such a baking mix is also an ideal Christmas gift.
Vanilla crescents
Monday, December 5, 2016
I finally start publishing Christmas recipes. I know it's a bit late, but I do not to bake beginning form the middle of November Christmas cookies. Even though I start a little later, I have enough time to show you 2-3 Christmas recipes and 1-2 gift ideas. Without any stress. I start with a classic Christmas cookie recipe - vanilla crescent. There are a lot of recipes for vanilla crescents...I chose the variant without egg. The dough was a bit too crumbly so I will surely try other recipes out. But even if the dough was crumbly, you can mold it with some patience to delicious crescents.
Apple sauce
Thursday, December 1, 2016
There are dishes that are not photogenic. No matter how much I try, they do not look beautiful in pictures. For example this apple sauce - I knew how I wanted to photograph it...but I do not really like the result. I have even looked for inspiration on Pinterest and Instagram...but I wasn’t lucky. I could have taken apples as props...but my apples were twice as big as the glasses. But it does not matter...you must believe me when I tell you that the apple sauce tastes delicious.
Walnut buns
Sunday, November 27, 2016
The last post was about the basic recipe for kanellbullar dough - the dough I use whenever I bake kanellbullars. Now it is time for a recipe for walnut bun.
Basic recipe: Kanelbullar dough
Wednesday, November 23, 2016
Kanelbullar is one of the most famous and popular Swedish pastries and was introduced in the 1920s. 1 year ago I baked pumpkin rolls and was so delighted with the dough that I'm used it every time I made cinnamon, nuts or poppy rolls. So today I publish in a separate article the basic recipe for the dough. More Kanellbullar recipes will then follow and they will always have this recipe as a base.
Sweet potato fries
Thursday, November 17, 2016
I love sweet potatoes - as gratin, as chips or as French fries. They are a much healthier and tastier alternative to normal potatoes. At least this is my opinion, you don’t have to agree with me :). I didn’t bake until now with sweet potatoes but that is something I want to do in the future. But back to fries ... that's what I have for you today. I tried different recipes, but I was not very happy with the result. The sweet potato fries have always tasted good but they were not crispy. Rather muddy. Then I read on an American blog, that you cover the French fries with stiff egg white, then they remain crispy. I have tried this and the sweet potato fries were crispy. If you want to bake crispy sweet potato fries, here is the recipe.
Duck breast with potato gratin
Sunday, November 13, 2016
As you know, I eat meat rather rarely. I usually do not cook with meat. Because now we have duck season and because my hemoglobin values are still low some days ago I cooked duck breast. As a side dish I prepared potato gratin. Very delicious, I can only recommend this recipe. If you want to try it, here is the recipe.
Spaghetti cacio e pepe
Saturday, November 5, 2016
As you surely know, I was on holiday in September. The one who follow me on Instagram know that I was in Italy for 10 days. This time we went to Nervi and Tuscany. I have visited many nice places but also tried many delicious dishes. One of them was spaghetti cacio e pepe. A meal I did not know. My friend ordered it and I tried it also. And I fell in love...I think it was one of the best foods I have eaten during my holiday. Can you belive that you create something so delicious with so few ingredients? I then looked for the recipe and found it on my favorite Italian blog.
Halloween recipes
Friday, October 28, 2016
A few more days until Halloween. Some will celebrate this feast, others will not. Some of you will visit a Halloween party or even trough one. And what must not miss at a party? Something to eat and drink. For this reason I publish a list of all Halloween recipes here on the blog. So you don’t have to search too long. I have something sweet, something savory and something to drink.
Beetroot cupcakes
Sunday, October 23, 2016
When I was at the beginning of the month at the supermarket, I discovered marzipan witch hats. I took them right away, because I knew they would be used for my Halloween series. It was more difficult for me to choose a cupcake recipe. I flip trough my cook books but I could not decide for one. Then I remembered the beetroot cake that I baked last year. The photos were so gruesome that the recipe did not make to the blog. And then I had the idea: why not make beetroot cupcakes? That's what I did and these beetroot Halloween cupcakes were created.

Dutch baby pancake
Wednesday, October 19, 2016
My Halloween series is not over yet, but we still have to eat? Right? So we make a short break from the Halloween recipes. But only a short one...I promise. But today I have for you this recipe for these delicious Dutch baby pancake. I tell you...they taste fabulous. And are so versatile...you can make them like I did with figs or you can use raspberries, strawberries, pears. They will always taste delicious. Have I made you curious?
Bloody Mary
Friday, October 14, 2016
Bloody Mary is not one of my favorite cocktails. But when I think about Halloween, Bloody Mary always came to my mind. No idea why I associate this cocktail with Halloween...perhaps it is the color. Or because of the story of Bloody Mary. This is also not important. It is important that it was clear to me that I wanted to make this cocktail for my Halloween series. So I bought everything I needed and the shaker was used once again. If you also associate Bloody Mary with Halloween then here is the recipe.
Pumpkin buns
Sunday, October 9, 2016
How fast time passes. Can you believe it is already October? Or that Halloween is already in 3 weeks? I can’t believe it. I have a few ideas for Halloween recipes, but as always I have a time problem. This because I was sure I still have so much time. When I saw the first Halloween recipes on other blogs I was: is that not too early? No it is not. So I have to hurry. So I start my (hopefully) Halloween series with these pumpkin buns. They are not that scary but they would fit for a Halloween dinner. Or what do you think?
Baked eggs with chanterelles and leeks
Wednesday, October 5, 2016
Today I have again a recipe which I wanted to publish a year ago. It is no longer important why it took so long, important is that the recipe is finally online. Now is the season of chanterelles, so it's time to show you this breakfast idea. Is again a simple, fast and delicious recipe…the kind of recipe you are used to. And if you do not like chanterelles or don’t find them to buy, then I have good news for you: you can use any type of mushrooms. So let’s start.
Butternut squash and almond soup
Tuesday, September 27, 2016
Have I told you that I really like blog events? No? Then I'll say it now: I really like blog events! Whether you can or cannot win something - I like to participate at blog events. When I saw that Tina organizes a blog event with the theme “pumpkin” I asked myself what I can cook for her blog event and I remembered a recipe that I've been dying to try: butternut squash and almond soup. So last week I went shopping and cooked this soup. It tastes very, very good - but I love pumpkin soup.
Currant cheesecake ice cream
Monday, September 26, 2016
Sometimes a food blogger does crazy things. In order to prepare this ice I got up during the week at 6:30 and at 7o'clock, the mixture was in the ice machine. Luckily I did not make a lot of noise...at least none of my neighbors complained. At 7:45 I was already on the way to work and the ice was already photographed. Yes, I know...I'm crazy 😁
American apple pie
Thursday, September 22, 2016
I wanted to bake this apple pie 2 weeks before my holiday. During my lunch break, I went to a store to buy some apples. There was an offer and so I went home with more apples than planned. So what to do with them... I could not eat all. So I had the idea of baking an American apple pie. But I didn’t have time before my vacation. So the apples were stored in the refrigerator and when I came back I finally baked it. I used a recipe from one of my cookbooks. But I made some changes to the recipe.
Caipirinha
Sunday, September 18, 2016
I wanted to make Caipirinha a long time ago. But you know my problem: no freezer...so no ice cubes. And for Caipirinha you need crushed ice. And yet the recipe is now on my blog. Do you want to know how I solved the problem? Very easily. Near my place there is a known fast-food chain. And one day I walked in and said that I want a big glass full of ice cubes. The seller looked at me a bit funny, but I got my ice. I then quickly rushed home, processes the ice cubes to crushed ice and already I could make the Caipirinha. Here is the recipe:
Spicy pizza margherita
Wednesday, September 14, 2016
I am back. Ah ... the holiday was so nice, why it is always so short? In addition to amazing places I have eaten a lot of delicious food: seafood, a lot of pasta, pizza and ice cream. I did not buy souvenirs this time but I brought a long list of dishes that I want to cook. Since I arrived yesterday evening, I didn’t have time to cook something (also because my fridge is empty), therefore here is a recipe that is waiting since an eternity to be posted: spicy pizza margherita. Pizza...Italy...vacation...this recipe is perfect:)
Boiled sweetcorn
Saturday, September 3, 2016
While you are reading this post, I'm sitting on the plane - direction holiday. But I did not want to disappear without saying a word. So I take this opportunity to tell you that the next two weeks nothing will happen here. If you want to see what I do in my vacation, then you can follow me on Instagram. I will certainly publish the one or the other photo. And now let’s get back to today's recipe: sweetcorn. Is actually a very easy recipe, but I love sweetcorn. And it reminds me of vacation.. so I thought it fits perfectly. When I was small, we often eat sweetcorn when we drove to the seaside. At least this is what I remember. Or at festivals.. there was always sweetcorn. But enough about holiday memories, here is the recipe.
Gnocchi
Tuesday, August 30, 2016
I have refused for a long time to cook gnocchi. This not because it is so difficult, it is because I didn’t ate gnocchis that really tasted good. I have tried a few times gnocchi, but was always disappointed with the taste. But this has changed a few months ago, when I was visiting one of my friends. She prepared some gnocchi and I've tried them. And they tasted good. So I gave gnocchi another chance and decided to make them. At home I had purple potatoes, so purple gnocchi were prepared. Because they taste really good, you can the recipe today.
Potatoes pan
Thursday, August 25, 2016
It is time again for a main course recipe. This time I have potatoes pan recipe for you. This is a recipe that I cook often. Especially on weekends, because then I have more time to cook. While the potatoes are cooking, I do some housework. Then again some cooking and you can already enjoy this delicious main dish.
Fruit salad
I do not know what it looks like for you, but in the summer fruits are my favorite desserts. And ice cream. Fruits are refreshing, there is a wide variety and they do not harm the bikini figure. And honestly, at 30 degrees no one really wants to bake cake. At least I don’t want. Therefore, there I prepare often fruit salad. You can vary depending on what fruits you find on the market and you can also add some alcohol (not suitable for children). Here is my fruit salad recipe.
Eton mess
Sunday, August 21, 2016
Eton Mess is a traditional English dessert consisting of a mixture of strawberries, pieces of meringue and cream. As you can see in my pictures I haven’t used strawberries but cherries. Not because I do not like strawberries, but because I cannot eat them. Otherwise I risk an allergic reaction. This is not a reason to bake desserts where strawberries are the main ingredient. I just use something else. And for the Eton Mess I opted for cherries. You can of course take strawberries or you try my version
Tabbouleh
Tabbouleh is a dish from the Lebanese cuisine. The main ingredients are bulgur or couscous, parsley, tomatoes and mint. You can serve it as an appetizer, but also as a side dish at a grill party. Or you serve it as a main course...for example at a picnic. The last time I was swimming, I made this salad and took it with me. Today I preset also to you the recipe.
Watermelon granita with mint
Wednesday, August 17, 2016
I have told you already last year that I do not have a freezer. Therefore, it was almost impossible for me to make ice cream. This has changed in the meantime. No, I haven’t bought a new refrigerator (I do not have the space for it) but I bought an ice cream machine with compressor. I thought a lot if I should make this purchase because I do not eat every day ice. And I can’t freeze it either. But I decided to buy it anyway. Because I keep seeing great, unusual ice cream recipes and I am every time upset because I cannot try those recipes. But that will change now. The ice cream machine arrived last weekend and I already tested it. First I made a water melon granita with mint. For granita you really need a freezer, but it has worked well with the ice machine.
Apricot-quark-dumplings
Saturday, August 13, 2016
I was afraid that I miss this year again the possibility to share with you the apricot-quark-dumpling recipe. The first time I tried this recipe last year. When I wanted to publish it the apricot season was already over. So I had to wait another year. Then the apricot season began again and one could buy local apricot again. So I bought half a kilo and made again the dumplings.
I could have used the old pictures but I didn’t like them anymore...and I wanted to prepare the apricot-quark dumplings again...as they taste absolutely delicious. And I managed to publish the recipe in time so you can also try the recipe.
Toast bread
Tuesday, August 9, 2016
The weather was not so great on Saturday so I took this as an opportunity to clean the whole apartment. This included cleaning of the windows, cleaning of the fridge but also making some space in my photo corner. Usually I need the whole day. I don’t have such a big apartment, but I’m taking often breaks. Because of this I was sure that I would not be able to go grocery shopping, so I decided to bake bread. I've been meaning to bake toast for quite some time and now I had the opportunity. The dough was stirred rapidly; it rise beautifully while I cleaned the room; then it was formed into a loaf and baked. But read on, the recipe for toast is really easy. And it tastes so good.
Pork tenderloin
Thursday, August 4, 2016
A few weeks ago I wanted to donate blood again; unfortunately my hemoglobin level was very low. Low hemoglobin level means iron deficiency in most cases. And that's my case, because I eat rarely meat. To increase my iron level, I cooked again meat. I've been meaning to make pork tenderloin for a while and now I also had a reason. So I bought the meat, I read several recipes for inspiration and then I started cooking. After about 70 minutes the dish was ready, arranged on plates and after the photo shoot I eat it. Beside the pork tenderloin I prepared new potatoes from the oven, corn and chive sauce. All this was really a treat. If you also suffer from iron deficiency or are just looking for a meat dish, here is the recipe.
Berries semolina soufflé
Saturday, July 30, 2016
I'm so glad that there are blog events. Because of them I'm motivated to publish recipes that slumber for a longer time in a file on my computer. I prepared this berries semolina soufflé last year. When I baked the berry cake I did not use all ingredients and I had to consume them as soon as possible. To be more precise, I had to consume the remaining berries and milk. At that time I wanted to prepare something sweet but without having to buy other stuff. And so I made these 4 servings of the berries semolina soufflé. In the meantime I made semolina soufflé often because it's quick and easy to make and it tastes delicious.
24 hours pickles
Tuesday, July 26, 2016
Today I have a new recipe for delicious homemade pickles for you. The recipe is very easy to prepare. The great thing about this recipe is that you do not have to wait weeks until the pickles are ready but only 24 hours. Yes, you read correctly...only 24 hours. These pickles are the perfect match for grilled chicken, pork or even hamburger. So the next time you grill then don’t buy them from the supermarket but prepare the, yourself. I guarantee to you...they taste much, much better than the bought ones.
Chia Pudding
Sunday, July 17, 2016
I was torn apart if I should publish this recipe. When I started this blog, I planned to publish only recipes that I like. But with the chia pudding it’s not the case. I must confess I do not understand this hype around chia pudding and Super Foods in general. But that's another topic. Back to chia pudding. Chia pudding is praised everywhere...it is super healthy (might be), it's so good and it tastes delicious. Therefore, I had to try it. And I have...a year ago...and it had no taste. At that time I said ok, this is not for me, I don’t need to like everything.
Ginger lemonade
Wednesday, July 13, 2016
I took Sonja’s blog event "Refreshing Summer" as an opportunity to finally publish the ginger lemonade recipe. I have prepared this lemonade the first time 2 years ago. I prepare this lemonade quite frequent, so it was time to share the recipe with you. If you like lemonade then you should try this also as it tastes great.
Ricotta pancakes
Saturday, July 9, 2016
I don’t know if I have said you this before, but I love pancakes. Whether we talk about the classic, thin pancakes or the American pancakes. I love them all. Therefore, I try often new recipes. The last time I made this Ricotta Pancakes. I have to say...I haven’t eaten for quite some time so airy, fluffy pancakes. The recipe is so simple that I cannot keep it only for myself.
Nectarines caprese salad
Tuesday, July 5, 2016
I do not know what you think, but I really like this fruity summer salads. After the melon-feta salad I am more than delighted about the nectarines caprese. It tastes very refreshing, fruity and summery. Therefore, the recipe made it on the blog.
Pesto rosso
Thursday, June 30, 2016
Actually, I was planed to post another recipe today. But there have been several requests for the vegan tomato pesto, so I've decided to publish the recipe today. As I said, the recipe is vegan, it does not contain cheese or vegan cheese. But take a look at the recipe.

Tarte flambée with bacon, blue cheese and onion
Tuesday, June 21, 2016
Whenever movie night is on my program there must be something to nibble/ eat. We talk here about snacks, popcorn, pizza or tarte flambée. That was the case a few weeks ago. I organized a cozy movie night and for this I baked a delicious tarte flambée with bacon, blue cheese and onion. The pictures were taken quickly (therefore, they are not so special) and after that I enjoyed the evening.
Basic recipe: tarte flambée dough
As I intend to share with you further tarte flambée recipes and I don’t want to write everytime the dough recipe, I thought I do a separate blog post just for it. That is all I have to say about this blog post :)
Zoodles
Thursday, June 16, 2016
For the Tchibo blog event I wanted first to prepare zoodles. But my first attempt with the vegetable-spiral slicer did not work. I then asked if there is a trick for getting endless pasta and I got the answer. You have to place the zucchini in the middle...something that I have not done. But I have also learned that another blogger prepared a zoodle recipe, so I made the smoothie bowl for the blog parade. But zoodles I wanted to do anyway. So today I present to you my recipe. With pesto rosso. A dream. I will make zoodles more often from now on.
Green walnut jam
Saturday, June 11, 2016
In the previous post I showed you how to make walnut liqueur. Today I have another recipe with green walnuts. The last year I have not only made the liqueur, but also a jam. I'm not 100% sure but I think that is a typical Romanian recipe. I have seen this jam only in Romania and when I asked friends from other countries, if they know the jam, they said no.
Green walnut liqueur
Tuesday, June 7, 2016
Guys, I just had a big shock! I just wanted to write the next blog post – I decided that it was time to post the recipe for walnut liqueur I made last year. But than I could not find the recipe. Actually I always write the recipes down. But I did not find anything. No mail with the text, not a link in the favorites, no text. Nothing. And then I panicked. How should I share the recipe of this delicious walnut liqueur with you, if I do not have the recipe? And then it occurred to me that I still have a recipe book where I write recipes. So I hoped to find the recipe there. And since you are reading this now, it means that I have found the recipe. That was close.
Fruit cake
Thursday, June 2, 2016
2 or 3 weeks ago, I saw in the supermarket nectarines. Although I knew I should not buy them because they will not taste, I still bought a 1 kilo. I arrived home and have enjoyable bitten in the first nectarine. How did it taste? It did not taste. The disappointment was huge and so I asked myself what I should do now with the nectarines. I then remembered the fruit cake recipe that I wanted to try for a long time. And so a couple of nectarines and a few other fruits that I had at home were used for this cake. The cake tasted so good and was so juicy. The fruits were very tasty…also the nectarines. The other half kilo was processed into jam (recipe will follow).
Grissini
Sunday, May 29, 2016
Hello! How are you? Today I have a new snack for you, namely bread sticks. It was a Sunday, all shops were closed and I carved for something salty. So what could I do? I went through recipes to be able to prepare something. I then decided for Grissini, because I had all the ingredients at home and they are also easy to prepare. I did that...and here is the recipe
Vegetarian quesadillas
Wednesday, May 25, 2016
Last year in autumn I went in Mexico for holidays. It was a beach holiday in Plaja del Carmen. It was so beautiful...in Vienna it was almost winter, and there were about 30 degrees. Sun, beach and sea...what more could you want? Maybe good food? I love the Mexican kitchen and I was curious to try many new dishes. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that I ate guacamole daily. Always and everywhere. And salsa. And something that I liked to eat for breakfast was quesadillas. I did not want to wait until my next Mexico vacation to eat quesadillas again, so I made them at home. If you want to try also quesadillas, here is the recipe.
